The company according to its statistics hopes to develop over 400 oil fields creating thousands of jobs in the process. The job creation idea was one of the chief reasons why the government allowed the drilling process. The company is itself targeting to create close to 200,000 jobs directly and even more indirectly. This is in addition to the state revenue in taxes and infrastructural development in Alaska. Oil industry and coal mining industry will soon be some of the biggest employers.
